Karnataka offers 1,000 acres of land to Tatas for Nano project

Amid uncertainty over Tatas’ Nano project in West Bengal, Karnataka government has offered 1,000 acres of land in case the company decides to relocate its Nano car project. After meeting the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Tata Motors Managing Director G Ravikanth informed that the government is ready to give all support, assistance and required incentives if the company wants to re-locate the plant. Tata Motors has a manufacturing facility at Dharwad in the north Karnataka region, where it produces buses and tractors.
